Hants County, being in such a close proximity and having the human resources, skills, and land available to support the ship building initiative, is sure to turn a corner into flourishing economic growth.
Our region is home to some of the highest rated schools in Canada and is within close proximity to world-renowned universities and cultural amenities. We hope to attract new members to our communities and be ready for many of the highly skilled 11,500 new jobs that will be available to Nova Scotians.
Thank you to every Nova Scotian who helped spread the word that we build the best ships in the country! As a community we’re ready to take advantage of this historic event!
