Overview

The information age.  Globalization.  Changing Organizational Cultures.  Right-sizing.  The Learning Organization.  Reengineering.  Knowledge Workers.  While the buzz words come and go, what they seek to describe will not.  We are in the midst of processes of organizational change so fundamental that we don’t even have words to describe them.  This module will discuss how the process of information has replaced the production of things as the motor force in the world economy.  The New Workplace has been developed to foster a discussion on the changing relationships within organizations and to place these changes in context.

Organizations have spent hoards of money preparing for the future.  We continue to invest in the latest technologies and systems but, as we all know, technology is only a facilitator.  People operate the equipment and tools which give us the fighting edge.  What all leaders have in common is the challenge of getting the most of people.  Your organization’s purpose is sustainability and profit, but we will achieve neither by ordering people to perform as we wish.  This module will focus on helping people realize their full potential and facilitate leadership to attaining goals that would be impossible to reach under command and control.

Tools for Team Excellence

A Team is a group of people who work together ... to accomplish individual goals effectively and efficiently while simultaneously accomplishing the goals of the team or the organization.  What if we took teams seriously?  What could your organization be doing differently if teams were the building blocks of a successful organization?  This module will look at the basic strategies and techniques necessary for teams to function effectively in your organization.

This finance program is designed to provide owners/managers who have not arrived at their positions with a clear understanding of the finance functions within a company. The emphasis of this module is to provide conceptual understanding of the potential and limitations of the finance functions and the skills needed to interact effectively with financial officers.
