The aims and objectives of this organization is to foster, promote and encourage good sportsmanship and team participation in minor hockey. This involves the supervision and instruction of the fundamentals and playing rules of the game of ice hockey. It also involves the regular playing of games at all levels and cooperation with other minor hockey associations to organize programs of competitive hockey.

We currently meet, 2nd Wednesday of the Month, RCL Windsor Br. 009. The association is the current steward of Meadowbrook Pond, where we stock it thrice yearly, enabling local sporting fisherman access to a renewable resource, not to mention the enjoyment of catching fresh water fish live on hook. Seniors association for those 55 and older. Monthly meetings as well as potluck lunches, games and crafts. Usually 3-4 bus trips arranged per year.

Each club is community based and has one overall, or general leader, along with leader(s) for each project. Any young person between the ages of nine to 21 as of January 1 are eligible to join the nearest 4-H club. There are approximately 110 clubs in Nova Scotia, 2,600 members and 1,100 Volunteer Adult Leaders involved in the 4-H program in Nova Scotia.

Milford Recreation Association is a volunteer non-profit organization providing recreational opportunities to the community of Milford and surrounding communities. We have the following recreation facilities available on our grounds: 3 tennis courts
We have wooded walking trails and a wheelchair accesible trail around our pond. We will complete a wooded accessible trail in the spring/summer of 2006. We also use the trails in winter for cross-country skiing and snow shoeing.

World renown, award winning dog club. Specialty shows, obedience rally, obedience, and tracking trials. We also temeperment test and hold obedience dog training classes.

Our Mission Statement : "To actively promote and administer the game of golf by providing good quality leadership and direction to member clubs and association members and to act as the representative for all member clubs in the Royal Canadian Golf Association." OBJECTIVES To promote, foster and develope golf at all levels in Nova Scotia. To provide a liaison between member clubs and the RCGA. To assist and consult with member clubs on : turf maintenance; handicap procedures; course slope and index rating; rule interpretation and assistance; junior development. To organize and conduct tournaments, in co-operation with member clubs, that will determine Provincial Champions in various divisions.

Soccer from Mount Uniacke to Mount Denson. Programs for age groups from age 6 to senior men's and women's. The association is making ongoing eforts to improve soccer fields in the area.
