Hants County Asset and Resource Map
Regional assets are defined as recognized qualities, characteristics and advantages of a community. Hants County’s assets are important to sustain and build upon for future generations and can be anything from natural environment, locations, infrastructure and what is socially important to community living including intangibles such as volunteers and skilled workers. This asset map aims to identify the advantages that would attract newcomers, investors and tourists alike to Hants County.
For fifteen years, the Hants Regional Development Authority (Hants RDA) has been facilitating community and business development in Hants County. Our clients have built and maintained facilities, celebrated our culture and heritage, and employed our neighbours. They have made significant contributions to the social and economic development of Hants County. And we have been proud to help move vision to reality.
As practitioners, we recognize our economic environment is ever changing and we make the necessary changes to our planning and operations to take advantage of current trends and opportunities.
The Hants Regional Development Authority is a forward looking organization established to support and advance community economic development in Hants County. From its offices in Windsor and Elmsdale, the Hants RDA works with businesses, community groups and all three levels of government to champion the interests of Hants County locally, regionally and internationally.
The mid year is a time for the RDA to look inward and reflect on the strides we have made towards
making a difference in our community. It is a time to assess our progress and determine the direction we plan to take in the second half of our year.
