Hants RDA Introduces New Business Development Officer to East Hants Business Community
Claude O’Hara, Executive Director of the Hants Regional Development Authority is pleased to welcome Scott Vernon to the Hants RDA team as a Business Development Officer serving the business community of East Hants.
A Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP), Scott brings to this position over twenty years organizational development experience, including eighteen years developing programs and instructing in the people side of business at Saint Mary’s University. His work experience has been fashioned in a variety of distinct cultural settings, including engagements in India, Germany, Scotland, the Caribbean, United States, Canada, and within northern indigenous cultures. Scott’s track record encompasses a variety of development and management-related fields, including program evaluation, strategic planning, organizational change, management development, process improvement, and competency-based management.
His business expertise has been shaped in a variety of organizational settings, including that of regional HR consulting practice leader within Ernst & Young (Atlantic Canada), Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (Toronto) and as Managing Partner of Genesis Resource Group in Atlantic Canada. His educational credentials include a Master of Arts (with an underlying focus on International Development and Business), and a Master of Education in Competency Assessment and Leadership.
His industry sector experience has included: banking, telecommunications, energy, provincial and federal government agencies, hotels, universities, manufacturing, pharmaceutical enterprises and non-profit organizations. He maintains a unique appreciation of the interplay among Vision, People, Process and Technology, the key elements, when properly united, drive success.
